The network of temporary pontoon bridges constructed for the Kumbh Mela. These bridges facilitate the movement of people across the river, easing congestion and ensuring smooth access to different areas of the Mela.
This year's Maha Kumbh Mela boasts an impressive infrastructure, with 150,000 tents, 3,000 kitchens, 145,000 restrooms, and 99 parking lots. Over eight crore people have already taken a dip at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. To accommodate the vast number of pilgrims, 26 hectares of land have been reclaimed, and approximately 12 kilometres of additional bathing ghats have been created.
